When making these we were a little concerned about the icing consistency but they turned out surprisingly good. 🙂

  • I just need to find unsalted butter and shortening and then I’m all set. I’m currently living in Brazil, where I’m having a hard time finding either.

Just made these (again) not half an hour ago. Sooo good! I crushed up some peppermint candy canes and added them to the filling for an extra christmas-y effect. Thanks!

As concerning substituting. You can easily substitute regular cocoa for dutch process with out much difference bu cannot do dutch for regular……

  • I’m making these tonight. If my spawn stop playing video games/ texting/ whatever the one does in the bathroom for 3 hours, long enough to eat these, I will be mighty impressed. I know they look awfully good to me and anything compared to an “Oreo on crack” sounds fantastic.

These Oreos are fantastic!! I just made a double batch of them and they are delicious. The only thing I did differently was that I cooled the cookies in the fridge right after they came out of the oven (before I assembled them). They still turned out great. My whole dorm expresses eternal gratitude 🙂

Oh boy. I just made these and they are truly amazing! Mine had a little more ‘chew’ than a regular Oreo, and I used all butter instead of shortening. I ate a few and froze the rest. I’m going to make cookies and cream ice cream…Next time I’ll try a mint variation!

These sound great! I really like double stuffed oreos so i was wondering if there was filling left over or would it be best to double the filling recipe?

I have these in the oven and I keep stealing little pieces of the dough! Also, I don’t have a food processor or a fancy mixer- I did it with my hand mixer and though I was skeptical at first and I got fine powder all over the place, I was relieved to see it work! I eventually had to stop mixing and squish all the dough together myself, but still…it worked! Now onto the cream filling 🙂

Fact #1: This was a really funny recipe article. It made me laugh, therefor I automatically assume you are more awesome than you claim these cookies are.

Fact #2: I am in need of increasing the population of friends, so I will attempt these cookies this weekend to reel some new ones in. 😛

Fact #3: Fact 2 was just a joke.

    Fact#4: Fact 3 was a lie.

    Thank you 🙂
